A better resolution scan may show the year on the license plate, as many early license plates had the year stamped on them.

Do you have an approximation of what year it was and/or where?

No real year but taken in south new jersey. I would have to say since there is a car involved it’s after 1908 and guessing the age of my relatives somewhere about 1920 approximately

I can't make out much but the front fenders come quite a bit forward of the wheel and dip down, they also have a raised edging/detailing around the top. Also it had a front bumper which wasn't all that common about the 1910-20s. Unfortunately there were so many companies starting out around that time to compete with Ford's Model T which were a variation of the Model T.

I’m leaning towards a 1916 Apperson Touring car made in Kokomo, IN from 1902-24.
or
a 1916 Sun Motor Co Touring car (1916-17, Elkhart, IN and 1921-22, Toledo, OH).
